Pathfinder

A signature project of KCP, this comprehensive directory can help individuals find information and services for cancer prevention, screening, treatment, and support. The Pathfinder covers organizations, health services and resources in all 120 counties. National resources are also found at the Pathfinder Website.

Kentucky African Americans Living Beyond Cancer

A culturally rooted mind, body and spirit support group. Sponsored by the Kentucky African Americans Against Cancer (KAAAC), the group meets monthly and is open to both women and men with cancer. For information, call KCP at (502) 852-6318.

Reel Recovery Retreat

Reel Recovery

A national non-profit organization, conducts fly-fishing retreats in Kentucky for men recovering from cancer. KCP is pleased to support these events. For information, visit the Reel Recovery website.

Race days at Churchill Downs, Keeneland and Turfway Park for Breast Cancer survivors attract sell-out crowds and celebrity guests annually.

Cancer Survivor's Day

Louisville Bats at Slugger Field in Partnership with the James Graham Brown Cancer Center in May offers an evening of baseball with free t-shirts, food, music and fireworks.

Think Pink

Held in Shepherdsville every October with the Bullitt County Health Department. This breast cancer education event for the community also honors survivors and has feature celebrity guests including Governor and Mrs. Paul Patton.

Gilda's Club - West Louisville

KCP and Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana have forged an exciting new partnership to serve residents of West Louisville. A new office is located in the Republic Bank Foundation YMCA, 1720 West Broadway, to provide educational programs, support services, and special events for the community. Free Legal Clinic

Free legal clinics are held in Louisville several times a year to help cancer patients and their families learn about legal issues important to them. A variety of topics are discussed, including insurance coverage, employment and taking time off work, access to health care and government benefits, and estate planning. The clinics are cosponsored by KCP, Louisville Bar Association, and the Louisville ProBono Consortium, and are usually held at Gilda's Club. Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness

Held in recognition of National Cancer Survivors Day, this educational program and resource fair is sponsored by KCP in collaboration with Louisville cancer care organizations. This one-day event features workshops and exhibits offering information for newly diagnosed cancer patients, individuals with metastatic disease, caregivers, and families.
