Kentucky Breast Cancer Coalition

The Kentucky Breast Cancer Coalition is a group with a mission to fight breast and other women’s cancers in Kentucky. Its primary goal is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening epidemic claiming an American woman every 11 minutes. The coalition gives women and men around the state a chance to express their concerns about women’s cancer issues as one strong voice. A statewide conference held every October serves as an excellent forum for a discussion of women’s cancer issues. 

The Kentucky Breast Cancer Coalition is affiliated with the National Breast Cancer Coalition. Traditionally, Kentucky First Ladies have served as honorary chairs of the organization. KCP helped to start the coalition and continues to support activities as a member of the Steering Committee.
