Cancer Coalitions

Working with community partners to increase breast and cervical cancer screening among medically underserved women, KCP has partnered with the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH) and local health departments to organize over forty breast and cervix coalitions across the state. These coalitions conduct outreach activities to provide education and promote awareness of low-cost and free cancer screenings available through the Kentucky Women’s Cancer Screening Project. The coalitions are partially funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through the KDPH.
