KCP started the Louisville and Jefferson County Partnership in Cancer Control in 1994 to increase breast and cervical cancer screening among low income women, particularly African American, in Jefferson County.  This coalition provides community education, clinical breast exams, mammograms, and Pap tests.  Mobile mammography services are offered at public health centers and community locations to reach high risk population groups.  Approximately 4,000 women are served annually by the Partnership.
