DRESS IN BLUE DAY
National Dress in Blue Day is celebrated each year on the first Friday of March. In 2023, the 15th Annual National Dress in Blue Day will be Friday, March 3rd. If that day doesn't work for you, don't worry! You can hold a Dress in Blue Day event any time in March!
The Dress in Blue Day program was first launched in 2009 to bring national attention to colon cancer. Today, individuals, businesses and community groups across the country participate in National Dress in Blue Day by wearing blue and encouraging others to do the same. By "going blue", we hope to raise public awareness and educate people on the facts about colon cancer and how they can reduce their risk of the disease.
Colon cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States and the second leading cause of cancer death. But it doesn't have to be this way; through screening, it is one of the most preventable diseases.
